Golf instruction with Jeff Carreira
Jeff Carreira grew up in Hadley, Massachusetts, where he started the golf team at Hopkins Academy and led it to the state championship during his senior year. He continued playing in college and later competed on the New England Tour for two years. He served as assistant golf professional at Hickory Ridge Country Club and general manager of Cherry Hill Golf Course in Amherst, Massachusetts.
After moving to Clearwater, Florida, Jeff accepted a full-time teaching position. He saw an opportunity to offer more individualized instruction than the large group classes common at many golf schools.
Jeff built his school around personalized coaching, flexible dates, and the ability to choose a location. He also made on-course instruction a key part of the experience, helping students apply what they learn at the practice facility to real playing situations. Instruction is available in small groups and private formats.
Jeff received the 2006 PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year Award and the 2008 National Golf School Teacher of the Year Award. He has worked with touring professionals, college players, juniors, and golfers with physical or visual disabilities. His instruction covers the full swing, short game, putting, bunker play, and course management.
Jeff has appeared on ESPN Radio and hosted the PGA Pros Hotline in Tampa, where listeners called in with questions about their golf games. He has also written for golf publications and coauthored the PGA Golf Professional Teaching Manual.
